Virgin launches Upper Class sale

10 Jan 2009 by BusinessTraveller

Virgin Atlantic has launched an advanced ticket sale for its Upper Class seats, with up to 40 per cent off destinations worldwide.

The sale is valid for bookings made until January 27, for travel on selected dates up to September 2009. The biggest saving available is for flights from London to New York, which can be snapped up for £1,099, a 40 per cent discount on the normal price.

Other savings include 37 per cent off flights to Johannesburg (£1,999), 38 per cent off flights to Boston (£1,199), and 24 per cent off flights to Tokyo (£1,999). Routes to Mumbai and Delhi fare less well, with a 13 and 14 per cent discount respectively.

As always there are conditions attached to the sale – a Saturday-night stay is compulsory, and the Upper Class limo service is not applicable on these fares. But lounge access is included, and Flying Club miles can be claimed on the promotional flights.
