Korean Air has launched a web check-in service.
It takes effect from four to 24 hours before departure and features functions to select seats and obtain a boarding pass online. Only those travellers requiring a visa for the destination to be travelled to, on code-share flights, holding a group ticket or requesting airport services like upgrading, travelling with pets or accompanying a minor will have to check in at the airport.
The procedure for the web check in is as follows: log on to the Korean Air website and select the Web Check-In Service. Next, select the flight and enter the passenger’s name, passport details, then select the seat and print out the boarding pass. At the airport, the passenger just needs to validate the printed boarding pass at the dedicated counters, where check-in baggage is also accepted, and head straight for the boarding gate.
