British Airways is currently offering Executive Club members 5,000 bonus miles if their flight from Heathrow or Gatwick is delayed by more than 15 minutes.
BA says the offer is designed to show “how seriously we take our commitment to punctuality”, and is valid for any passengers purchasing flexible tickets with departures from London Gatwick or Heathrow, between now and December 19.
To qualify for the potential bonus, passengers must pre-register at ba.com/punctuality, and be travelling on a flexible ticket, on one of the following fare types: First (F, A); Club World (J, C, D); World Traveller Plus (W, E); World Traveller (Y, B, H); Club Europe (J, C, D); Euro Traveller (Y, B, H) and Domestic (J, C, Y).
The offer does not apply to flights operated by franchisees, codeshare partners or Oneworld alliance members, and the airline “reserves the right to exclude any flights from this promotion where the delay occurs beyond the reasonable control of British Airways”.
