Passengers on Korean Air flights bound for London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Paris and Incheon can now get in-flight information on museums and artworks from the carrier’s Flying Art Ambassadors.
The 109 Ambassador flight attendants were chosen from 500 candidates, and include employees with degrees in art and culture, and museum and curator experience. They have all undergone educational training on the museums, artwork and artists in the relevant destinations, including a two-day workshop during October.
The service was launched on Paris-bound flights in March, and has now been extended to other European destinations, with New York, Vienna, St Petersburg and Rome to follow early next year.
The move follows Air New Zealand’s decision to include in-flight concierges on selected long-haul routes earlier this year.
