Radisson opens Toulouse airport property

2 Oct 2008 by Mark Caswell

Rezidor Hotel Group has opened its 11th Radisson property in France, and its first in the southern city of Toulouse.

The Radisson SAS Hotel, Toulouse Airport, is located in the Blagnac district of “La Ville Rose” (“The Pink City”), close to the city’s airport and the Airbus headquarters. The hotel’s exterior features a modern aluminium facade resembling the body of an aircraft, with multi-coloured shutters, while inside there are 200 rooms and suites, ranging in size from 26 sqm to 75 sqm.

As is traditional with Radisson properties, the hotel has three different styles of rooms, in this case based on the colours red (floor 1), yellow (floor 2) and blue (floor 3). Room features include Chiné carpeting, Japanese panel windows, flatscreen TVs, complimentary wifi internet access, and chocolate and vanilla decor in the bathrooms.

La Vie En Rose is a restaurant, bar and lounge area towards the back of the lobby, and includes a wine cellar and indoor terrace. Business facilities include 550 sqm of meeting space, with eight rooms, the largest of which measures 310 sqm. Finally for relaxation there is a hammam, sauna, wave pool, fintess centre and patio area.

The new Toulouse property joins a number of hotels close to the airport, including the recently refurbished Pullman Toulouse Airport. This Accor property was formerly a Sofitel, but was rebranded earlier this year, and now features renovated public areas including a new fitness centre with swimming pool.
