Global Hotel Alliance gains two more members

17 Jan 2008 by Mark Caswell

The Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) has two new members, expanding its network to nine major hotel groups.

The Middle East-based Cham Palaces and Hotels, with properties in Syria, Jordan and soon Algeria, has joined along with Anantara Resorts and Hotels, which is based out of Bangkok and has properties in Thailand, the Maldives and Indonesia.

With the alliance expanding across the globe, a bonus for business travellers is that the GHA member brands recognise each other’s loyalty programmes. This includes Kempinski’s Private Concierge, Omni’s Select Guest, Pan Pacific’s Advocates, Marco Polo’s Tai Pan Club, the Dusit Gold Card and the Landis Card.

The two new members join seven other major luxury hotel brands including: Dusit Hotels and Resorts, Kempinski Hotels, Landis Hotels and Resorts, Marco Polo Hotels, Omni Hotels, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, and the Leela Palaces and Resorts.
