Hilton Worldwide has opened a Hilton Hotels and Resorts property in Bournemouth.
The 172-room Hilton Bournemouth is the brand's 67th hotel in the UK, joining recent additions in London Bankside (see news, October 14) and Southampton.
Facilities include eight meeting spaces, a 350-guest ballroom, a 20-metre pool and a 24-hour gym.
Developed with property company That group, the hotel seeks to blend classic design with a quirky aesthetic. Meeting rooms feature typewriters protruding from the walls, while the reception exhibits a collection of local pottery.
It also houses Bournemouth's highest bar, Levl8ght The Sky Bar, offering guests a view of the town's coastline.
Rob Palleschi, global head of full service brands at Hilton Worldwide, said: "This property incorporates cutting edge design with all the Hilton touches our guests identify with.
"Our collaboration with That Group and the opportunity to incorporate Ray Kelvin's design expertise has created a posh getaway for travellers to create memorable experiences."
