KLM to operate B787-9 to San Francisco

KLM will roster a B787-9 on to its Amsterdam-San Francisco route next summer. The airline currently operates a daily B747-400 service between the two cities as KL605/606. From May 4, it will increase this to nine-times weekly, with the Dreamliner operating the two extra frequencies, on Wednesdays and Sundays. Outbound service KL607 will depart Schiphol at 1240 and arrive in San Francisco at 1445. Return leg KL608 will leave San Francisco at 1645 and land in Amsterdam at 1215 the next day. The daily KL605/606 will depart Amsterdam at 0950 and arrive in San Francisco at 1145, leaving San Francisco at 1355 and landing in Amsterdam at 0915 the next day, reports airlineroute.net. Earlier this month, KLM announced it will operate five new services from Amsterdam to Southampton, Inverness, Dresden, Genoa and Valencia next summer (see news, December 8). klm.com Graham Smith
