The Oetker Collection has announced it will open hotels in Sao Paulo and New York in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Palacio Tangar will be located near Burle Marx Park in the centre of Sao Paulo. Scheduled to open in spring 2017, it will contain 141 guestrooms, of which 55 will be suites.

Dining venues will include one signature restaurant, a chef's table, bar, wine cellar, lobby and lounge bar, all of which will offer outdoor terraces.
Facilities will include a ballroom with the capacity to house 360 guests, 11 function rooms, a fitness centre and spa with a private garden, and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
Oetker will open a hotel in New York in spring 2018; the property will join Oetker's masterpiece series.
The hotel will be located at 550 Madison Avenue, between 55th and 56th streets, and will be housed in the former Sony Tower, a 43-storey skyscraper originally built as AT&T’s headquarters in 1984.

Set across eight floors, it will feature 170 rooms, including 60 suites. Amenities will include a bar and lounge area, gourmet restaurant, spa, fitness centre and a 25-metre swimming pool.
Located above the hotel on floors 21 to 43 will be 115 luxury apartments that will be serviced by Oetker.
Frank Marrenbach, Oetker Collection CEO, said: "I am confident that, once Palacio Tangara and our new hotel in New York are up and running, Oetker Collection guests will soon call both properties their new home."
The Oetker Collection currently has nine hotels in its portfolio, including London's The Lanesborough, which joined this summer (see news, May 30).
