Norwegian Reward adds member benefits

1 Dec 2015 by GrahamSmith

Norwegian has added benefits to its Norwegian Reward frequent flyer programme including free seat reservation and fast-track through security.

The benefits, which came into effect today, will also allow members to take advantage of a 2 per cent CashPoint boost and free baggage.

Members can choose a reward up to eight times a year and the 2 per cent CashPoint boost up to five times annually.

A statement said: "The CashPoint boost may be chosen up to five times, which in total gives 10 per cent extra CashPoint earning on tickets."

However, members who fly 48 flights within a year will receive free seating, fast-track, baggage and a 10 per cent CashPoint boost, in addition to the 2 per cent boost, for 12 months.

Brede Huser, vice president of Norwegian Reward, said: "Norwegian Reward members have taken 20 per cent more flights over the past year as we have enhanced the scheme including extending the amount of time members can claim CashPoints.

"By introducing rewards, our members have more flexibility and can easily keep costs to a minimum that will improve their overall travel experience with Norwegian."

Last month, Norwegian announced a Norwegian UK subsidiary airline that will operate routes to destinations in Asia, South America and South Africa (see news, November 13).
