TAM Airlines' forthcoming A350 XWB has made its first appearance in the carrier's livery.
The freshl-painted aircraft was rolled out of a hangar at Airbus' headquarters in Toulouse yesterday.
Its engines will now be installed, and the cabin and cockpit fitted before starting ground and flight tests, Airbus said.
The aircraft is scheduled to be delivered to TAM in December, making the airline the fourth in the world to receive the A350, following Qatar Airways (see news, December 2014), Finnair (see news, September 17) and Vietnam Airways (see news, June 30).
It will debut commercially between Sao Paulo/Guarulhos and Manaus in January.
The first international flights will be from Sao Paulo/Guarulhos to Miami in March and from Sao Paulo/Guarulhos to Madrid in April.
TAM's A350 will contain 348 seats in a two-class configuration with 318 seats in economy and 30 fully-flat seats in business class.
