A 286-room luxury independent hotel, The Reverie Saigon, has opened in Ho Chi Minh City.

The privately-owned, 39-storey property is located on Times Square in District 1. It is currently in soft opening mode, with a grand opening set for September 1.

Standard guestrooms range in size from 43 to 53 sqm, while suites are between 63 and 313 sqm.

Food and drink options include three restaurants — The Royal Pavilion serves Chinese cuisine; R&J serves Italian; and Café Cardinal serves French —and a ground floor café, The Long @ Times Square.

Facilities include a 1,200 spa over two floors with ten treatment rooms; a 120 sqm gym; a 24-metre swimming pool on the hotel’s sixth floor; steam rooms; saunas and outdoor Jacuzzis.

The property’s 15 function spaces include the La Scala Grand Ballroom, which is the largest pillar-less ballroom in the city.

The Times Square building is also home to The Reverie Residence, made up of 89 one and two-bedroom, full-service, extended-stay apartments, with a separate entrance and private lounge.

Nightly rates for a Deluxe room start at £288-£352, while suites range from £512 to £9,595 per night.

This summer, Vietnam Airlines moved its London-bound services from Gatwick to Heathrow (see news, January 9).
