Airbnb enhances Business Travel programme

28 Jul 2015 by GrahamSmith

Airbnb has launched a new product suite for its Business Travel programme.

The accommodation booking website launched the corporate scheme in July last year. Since then, it has experienced growth of 700 per cent with more than 250 companies, including Google, SoundCloud, TBWA, and Twilio, having joined.

Now the firm has added a product suite that it claims will make Airbnb more convenient for companies to use.

The new features are laid out in three components:

  • Activity Tab - catalogues current and upcoming employee trips and details
  • Reporting Tab - collects and manages booking reports
  • Employees Tab - manages approved and pending employee requests to book business travel using Airbnb

Elsewhere, a central billing system streamlines payments, and financial and booking data reports can be exported to provide visibility into bookings made company-wide.

Companies that sign up to Airbnb’s Business Travel program by September 1 will receive US$50 in Airbnb credit for employees to use towards their first corporate travel booking.

Based in San Francisco, Airbnb was founded in August 2008 and is the world's leading community-driven hospitality company.
