Etihad Airways has chosen No.1 Traveller as its preferred lounge partner at Edinburgh airport.
From today, all Etihad business class passengers and Etihad Guest cardholders can enter the new No.1 Edinburgh lounge for free.
No.1 Traveller opened its first Scottish lounge at Edinburgh airport earlier this year (see news, April 8), while last month Etihad launched its first service to Scotland with a non-stop daily flight between Abu Dhabi and Edinburgh (see news, June 8).
No.1 Edinburgh includes a new "Touchdown" service that is designed to offer those with very little time rapid access to a desk with the internet, newspapers and food and drink for a to-be-determined "small fee".
Other features include a fully-tended bar, a self-service pantry table, a choice of seasonal dishes from the kitchen, newspapers and No.1's Travel Concierge service. Also available is the "Driveway to Runway" service, including chauffeur-driven airport transfers, airport parking, security fast-track and the VIP Departure service at an additional cost that is calculated on demand.
James Harrison, Etihad's UK general manager, said: "Etihad Airways is delighted to work with No. 1 Traveller at Edinburgh airport as we strive to bring the best experience to our guests... We want to ensure our guests' lounge experience matches the awarding-winning experience that we offer in the air."
Mark Woodcock, No.1 Traveller's commercial director, added: "We're delighted to be partnering at Edinburgh airport. Our high-quality lounge facilities will ensure all Etihad's guests can enjoy a premium experience before they fly."
