Air Canada Rouge will launch a summer seasonal service between Toronto and London Gatwick next year.
From May 19, the airline will operate a two-class B767-300ER, with 24 premium seats and 256 in economy, up to seven-times weekly between the two cities times.
Outbound service AC1924 will depart Toronto at 2210 and land at LGW at 1015 the next day, while return service AC1925 will leave Gatwick at 1200 and arrive in Toronto at 1500.
Benjamin Smith, Air Canada's president of passenger airlines, said: "Air Canada Rouge is ideally-suited to serve London Gatwick, with its focus on leisure travel and provide easy access to southern London.
"This new service will also make us the only Canadian carrier serving multiple airports in the London region and complements our Air Canada Rouge service to Manchester and Edinburgh.
"Both new routes offer customers convenient connection times with our extensive domestic, U.S. transborder and international network."
The low-cost carrier is also planning to introduce year-round flights between Montreal and Lyon from June 16, 2016. That service will operate up to five-times weekly.
Flight AC828 will depart Montreal at 2110 and arrive in Lyon at 1020 the next day, while AC829 will leave Lyon at 1200 and land in Montreal at 1400.
Last month, it emerged that Air Canada Rouge is converting business class on all its A319 aircraft from a 3-3 to a 2-2 seating configuration (see news, May 27).
