Etihad Airways will launch a daily B787-9 service to Dusseldorf later this year.
The Gulf airline had originally planned to fly the Dreamliner to the German city from July 2, but the operation will now start on October 25.
Outbound flight EY023 departs Abu Dhabi at 0215 and arrives in Dusseldorf at 0720, with return flight EY024 leaving Dusseldorf at 1150 and landing in Abu Dhabi at 2025.
From July 2 until October 25, the route will mainly be operated by A330-300 aircraft, with some frequencies flown by other aircraft including the A340-600, reports airlineroute.net.
Earlier this week, Etihad submitted an official report to the US government urging it to keep the open skies agreement in place (see news, June 2).
