Qatar Airways Privilege Club members can earn up to 800 Qmiles when hiring a car with Avis.
Members can earn between 500 and 800 Qmiles for every rental booked. Customers must also be Avis First members and miles earned depend on their Avis First membership tier level.
The Qmiles can be redeemed for flights, upgrades and excess baggage on Qatar Airways services and for flights with other Oneworld airline members.
Privilege Club members can also earn quadruple Qmiles on rentals taken between March 11 and June 30 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Rahul Kucheria, Qatar Airways' frequent flyer programme senior manager, said: "We are delighted to partner with Avis Car Rental to offer our Privilege Club members yet another way in which they can earn Qmiles, which can in turn be redeemed against a growing number of benefits, from flights to the latest products on offer from Qatar Duty Free and our dedicated Oryx Galleria boutique in Doha."
Avis Budget Group director Troy Warfield added: "Privilege Club members will not only be able to enjoy our world class product and premium service but will now be able to earn up to 800 Qmiles per booking, which translates into a truly worthwhile reward when flying with Qatar Airways."
Earlier this month, Qatar Airways announced its Privilege Club "Globetrotter" promotion, allowing members to earn up to 100,000 bonus QMiles and a single tier upgrade (see news, April 9).
