Qatar Airways to launch three new US routes

4 May 2015 by BusinessTraveller

Qatar Airways will launch non-stop services to the US cities of Atlanta, Boston and Los Angeles next year.

Daily flights to LA will launch on January 1, using a two-class B777 aircraft, while daily services to Boston will follow on March 16, operated by the Gulf carrier’s Airbus A350 XWB aircraft in a two-class configuration.

Then on June 1, 2016 Qatar Airways will commence daily flights to Atlanta, using B777 aircraft.

In addition the carrier will add a second daily frequency to its Doha-New York service from March 1 next year, operated by the A350. This new service will represent the first US destination for Airbus' next-generation aircraft.

The new routes will bring to ten the number of US cities served by Qatar from Doha.

Of the new routes announced by Qatar Airways, rival Gulf carriers Emirates serves Boston and Los Angeles non-stop from Dubai, while Etihad Airways flies to Los Angeles from Abu Dhabi.
