Movenpick Hotels and Resorts will open its eighth property in Dubai in 2017.
The 251-room Movenpick Hotel Dubai Media City will be located next to the "innovation hub" area for technology businesses and entrepreneurs announced by the government last year.
All rooms, including both standard room and suites, will be a minimum size of 42 sqm.
Facilities will include four food and drink outlets, a large ballroom, a spa, gym and a swimming pool. The hotel will also feature four meeting rooms, which will be available for events and conferences.
Andreas Mattmuller, Movenpick's CCO for the Middle East and Asia, said: "Dubai Media City is already home to more than 2,000 businesses and attracts thousands more workers and visitors on a daily basis.
"The cutting-edge innovation hub will significantly expand the district's population and Movenpick Hotel Dubai Media City will be well placed to cater to this community and beyond."
Movenpick will also open Movenpick Hotel Apartments Downtown Dubai in 2017. The group currently has six properties in Dubai, including Dubai Jumeirah Beach, Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Dubai Ibn Battuta Gate.
