26 Mar 2015 by GrahamSmith

Turkish Airlines will move its operations at Gatwick airport from the North to South Terminal on Sunday.

The carrier said all its flights will operate as normal from the South Terminal from March 29, benefitting passengers as it removes the shuttle journey from the train station to the North Terminal.

Osman Battal, Turkish's general manager for Heathrow and Gatwick, said: "We are pleased to announce our move to London Gatwick's South Terminal.

"As we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible service, this move will ensure all operations are now streamlined."

This summer season, starting on Sunday, Turkish will add two extra weekly services onto its Istanbul to Birmingham route (see news, December 23)

The airline is also increasing frequency between Istanbul and Manchester (see news, December 16).
