Stobart Air will from next week operate Cityjet's Cardiff to Edinburgh and Paris routes, it was announced today.
The move comes as part of a partnership agreement signed by the Irish airlines.
From December 1, Stobart — formerly Aer Arann — will fly short-haul ATR aircraft on the twice-daily route to Edinburgh and the daily service to Paris.
Cityjet CEO Christine Ourmières said: "This partnership allows us to continue to work with our partners at Cardiff Airport to provide a quality service to passengers on key routes, connecting Wales with major European cities Paris and Edinburgh."
Sean Brogan, chairman of Stobart Air, added: "Adding CityJet to our partner portfolio is a further positive development for Stobart Air...
"The routes we will operate for CityJet are strong, connecting the two capital cities of France and Scotland with the capital city of Wales."
Last month, it emerged that tiny Carlisle airport is gearing up to offer connections to the US following investment by owners Stobart Group (see news, October 14).
