Virgin delays B787-9 services to Dulles and Newark

19 Nov 2014 by GrahamSmith

Virgin Atlantic has postponed the launch of its B787-9 services from London Heathrow to Washington Dulles and New York Newark.

The carrier had scheduled to roster the Dreamliner onto the Dulles route on December 17. The aircraft will now be added on January 7.

It will initially operate five-times weekly, before turning daily on January 19, reports airlineroute.net.

The Newark route, meanwhile, will not see Dreamliner service until February 1, two weeks after its planned January 19 start date.
