Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened its first property in Liverpool.
The 116-room Aloft Liverpool is located on North John Street and is housed within the renovated, Grade II-listed Royal Insurance Building in the city's heritage centre.
Each guestroom features the brand's signature loft-style ceilings, oversized windows and walk-in rain showers.
Facilities include a fitness centre and a grab-and-go food and beverage area, both open 24 hours a day, a bar and five meeting rooms. Wifi is free throughout the hotel.
Colin Bennett, Starwood's area manager UK & Ireland, said: "Aloft is enjoying tremendous global growth fuelled by the enthusiasm of travellers who want great design and a fresh, fun atmosphere.

Aloft Liverpool is the fourth Aloft hotel in Europe and second in the UK, after Aloft London Excel, with five more slated to open across Europe in the next three years.

The Liverpool property is currently offering an early booking discount of up to 20 per cent off for stays completed before March 31.
