Cityjet yesterday expanded its London City to Dublin route by 25 per cent.
The budget carrier is now operating up to nine flights every weekday, with the earliest flight departing LCY at 0645.
Patrick Lukan, Cityjet's chief commercial officer, said: "As an Irish-based carrier, the Dublin to London City route has always been, and remains, very important to us.
"We continue to listen to our customers and they tell us that schedule and service are key to them making their buying decision which is why we have increased our all jet service to up to nine flights a day out of close in London City airport."
Cityjet serves more than 250,000 passengers on the route every year.
Earlier this month, Cityjet announced it was axing its Cardiff airport to Glasgow route – only nine months after launching the service (see news, October 13).
That news came two weeks after the airline announced it will cancel flights to/from Cambridge International airport at the end of October (see news, September 30). That route launched in May.
