The announcement sees Norwegian continue to expand its transatlantic operation.

It will take delivery of its eighth 787 Dreamliner next spring as it looks to boost capacity on existing routes.

As previously reported, Norwegian will double its services from Gatwick to both New York JFK and Los Angeles next summer (see news, September 2). It will also reduced servce on six other routes.

Thomas Ramdahl, Norwegian's CCO, said: "We're happy to announce that we will offer Orlando as a new destination from London and Copenhagen.

"Orlando is already a very popular destination being offered from Oslo and we are looking forward to giving even more passengers the chance to visit this great area of Florida."
