Kempinski Hotels has ended its management agreement with luxury property The Stafford London.
The hotel group took over the management of the property in 2010 (see news February 2010), with the hotel unveiling a £6 million refurbishment project the following year (see news April 2011). The property also celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2012 (see news February 2012).
But the two parties have now confirmed that they have come to a "mutual and amicable agreement to end the management contract for The Stafford London by Kempinski".
The move once again leaves Kempinski without a presence in London - the group has previously managed properties including The Bentley in South Kensington and The Courthouse on Great Marlborough Street.
In a statement the hotel said that "a new partnership and affiliation announcement will follow next week".
