Hilton Worldwide will open a Conrad hotel in place of what is currently the Intercontinental London Westminster in September.
The 256-room Conrad London St James, which will be the luxury brand's 24th property, will be located on Broadway between Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace.
The Intercontinental London Westminster only opened under the IHG umbrella two years ago (see news, November 2012). Subscribers can read a review from our January 2013 issue here.

The six-floor Conrad London St James will have 42 premium rooms, including suites and a penthouse. All rooms will come with a king-size or twin beds, a bath, a walk-in shower and free wifi.
The hotel will also feature a Club Lounge, a media hub, a 24-hour business centre, seven fully-equipped meeting rooms, a restaurant, a bar, and the Whitehall Suite, which can accommodate up to 300 people.
John TA Vanderslice, global head of Conrad Hotels & Resorts, said: "London continues to be a political, cultural, and economic powerhouse in the world, which makes it a natural destination for international travellers."
Hilton currently has no Conrad hotels in London, although the Chelsea Harbour Hotel used to be part of the brand and was known as London Conrad Chelsea Harbour Hotel.
Last year, Hilton Worldwide opened its first Conrad in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai (see news, September 2013). Subscribers can read a review of that hotel here.
