Flybe to fly Jersey to Aberdeen shuttle service

26 Jun 2014 by GrahamSmith

Flybe is launching a service between Jersey and Aberdeen with passenger drop-off and pick-up points at Southampton and Leeds/Bradford airports.

From October 26, the 'hop-on/hop-off' FlyShuttle service, which will be operated by a 78-seat Bombardier Q400 turboprop aircraft, will run three times daily from Monday to Saturday in each direction.

The total journey time between Aberdeen and Jersey is four hours and 15 minutes, including drop-off and pick-ups, with the first service departing at 0700.

Paul Simmons, Flybe's chief commercial officer, said: "Today's announcement is another significant landmark in the rebirth of Flybe.

"Designed to be used as a 'shuttle bus service in the sky' all the way between Jersey in the south and Aberdeen in the north, we are again showing that we are the 'fastest way from A to Flybe', faster than road or rail — and certainly most affordable."
