13 May 2014 by GrahamSmith

United Airlines is adding Tokyo Haneda to its network with a daily non-stop service from its San Francisco hub.

The US carrier will roster a Boeing 777 — with 269 seats in a three-class configuration with eight seats in first class, 40 in business, and 221 in economy, 104 of which are economy plus — onto the route. To view a seatplan, click here.

Subject to government approval, the route will launch on October 26.

Flight UA875 will depart San Francisco International Airport (SFO) daily 1835 and arrive at Haneda at 2205 the following day at 2205.

Return service UA876 will take-off from Tokyo at 0005, and land at SFO at 1715 the previous day.

Jim Compton, United's vice chairman and chief revenue officer, said: "We are excited about adding Haneda Airport to our global route network.

"By providing non-stop service from our San Francisco hub to both Tokyo airports, we will maximise choice and convenience for customers travelling from across the Americas to Tokyo, and to points beyond on our joint-venture partner All Nippon Airways (ANA)."

Tokyo Haneda will be United's tenth trans-Pacific destination it serves non-stop from SFO, and its third new Asia-Pacific port this year, after Taipei and Chengdu.

United currently flies to Tokyo Narita three times daily.
