Norwegian orders another three B787-9s

12 May 2014 by GrahamSmith

Norwegian has signed an agreement to lease three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.

Two of the wide-bodied aircraft will be delivered in 2016 and the third in 2017, the airline said.

Norwegian now has five 787-8 Dreamliner jets in its fleet, another three 787-8s on order and nine 787-9s on order.

Today's announcement brings the total number of Dreamliners that will be in Norweigan's long-haul fleet by 2018 to 17.

It comes just three months after the airline agreed to lease four Boeing 787-9s (see news, February 13).
