Emirates will operate a one-off A380 service to Austria next month.
On May 26, the carrier's superjumbo will be the first scheduled A380 service to Vienna International Airport.
It will replace flight EK125 and will depart Dubai at 1715 and arrive in Vienna at 2110 local time. Return flight EK126 will take-off from Vienna at 0020 and land in Dubai at 0800 the next day.
And the trial flight, which is to celebrate a decade of Emirates operations to Vienna, might be a prelude to Emirates inaugurating a regular superjumbo service to the city.
Thierry Antinori, Emirates' executive vice president and chief commercial officer, said: "We hope that the iconic city of Vienna will become part of our growing list of international cities served by the Emirates A380.
"More importantly, we hope that we are able to provide our world-class product, and much needed convenience, to both our customers in Austria and the thousands of international visitors who wish to travel there."
The Gulf airline is flying another one-off A380 service to Glasgow tomorrow (see news, February 12).
