China Southern will launch a thrice weekly Guangzhou-Changsha-Frankfurt service in June.

The route will be operated by an A330-200 with four classes — four seats in first, 24 in business, 48 in premium economy and 153 in economy (to see a seatplan, click here).

First class will be configured 1-2-1, business will be 2-2-2, and premium economy and economy will both be 2-4-2.

Outbound service CZ331 will depart Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2130 local time, landing at Changsha at 2245. It will then take off again at 2355 and arrive in Frankfurt at 0600 the following day.

Return flight CZ332 will depart Frankfurt on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 1415 and arrive at Changsha at 0645 the next day. It will then take off at 0800 and arrive in Guangzhou at 0915.

At the end of last year, China Southern signed its first reciprocal codeshare agreement with Qantas (see news, December 2).

a 45 minute turn around time for a A330, slightly ambitious!
