Hilton Worldwide has opened a hotel in Zhengzhou, its first property in China's Henan province.
The 448-room, 39-storey Hilton Zhengzhou is located in the city's central business district and is 30 kilometres from the airport and seven kilometres from the high-speed train station.
It features four restaurants — Lobby Lounge, Yu Garden Chinese Restaurant, Eight Elements and Amici Bar — that serve both Chinese and international cuisine.
The hotel also has the city's largest pillarless ballroom and more than 2,000 sqm of meeting and banquet space including a 24-hour business centre.
Each guestroom comes with an iPod/iPhone docking station and free wifi, while there is also an indoor swimming pool and a spa.
Bruce McKenzie, Hilton's senior vice president of operations, Greater China and Mongolia, said: "Hilton Zhengzhou is designed to bring world-class travel experiences to guests from China and around the world who visit this central Chinese region, by offering a world of unique design, state-of-the-art amenities and Hilton's unrivaled hospitality."
Earlier this month, Hilton Worldwide announced that the guest rooms at Hilton London Heathrow Airport T4 are undergoing a complete refurbishment (see news, March 6).
