Hilton will open its first luxury Waldorf Astoria property in Beijing next month.
The Waldorf Astoria Beijing has 175 guestrooms, including 55 suites, and is located in the Wangfujing district of the Chinese capital.
A ten-minute drive from Tian An Men Square and Forbidden City and a 15-minute drive from the Central Business District and Financial Street, the hotel is scheduled to open on March 1.
The first building to ever be completely clad in copper, it is also about an hour's drive from the airport.
It features a western restaurant called Brassiere 1893, a Chinese restaurant, two bars, free wifi, meeting rooms, a business centre, a large ballroom, a spa and gym, and an indoor swimming pool.
Later this year, five hutong accommodation units (pictured directly above), separate from the hotel, will open. These will feature private underground parking and garden courtyards.
The two-storey Hutong Presidential Villa will have a private courtyard, swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. Below the hutong accommodations will be a meeting and entertainment space, including a 16-seat cinema and a sunken lounge bar.
