All Nippon Airways will next year launch new services to Dusseldorf and Munich.
From March 30, ANA will fly between Tokyo Narita and Dusseldorf and Tokyo Haneda and Munich.
Its existing daily flight between Haneda and Frankfurt will continue as before, although it is unclear whether or not this will still be a codeshare with its Star Alliance partner Lufthansa.
The Narita to Dusseldorf route is good news for those Dutch travellers living or working near the German border with Holland.
Passengers of both ANA and Lufthansa will be able to take connecting flights within ANA's domestic network in Japan and Lufthansa's international network in Europe to continue their journeys.
Osamu Shinobe, president and CEO of ANA, said: "We are delighted to announce the expansion of our German network which, along with our joint venture with Lufthansa, will enhance our services to Germany and Europe as a whole."
Lufthansa has also today announced new daily services between Tokyo Haneda and Frankfurt, and Tokyo Haneda and Munich from March 30 next year (see news, December 18).
Earlier this month ANA, revealed it will begin new services to London Heathrow, Vancouver and Hanoi next year (see news, December 9).
