Qatar Airways will start services to Perth, Helsinki, Zagreb, Zanzibar, Kigali, Mombasa and Gassim next year.
The Doha-based airline is now gearing up for nine new routes, given previously announced services to Baku and Tbilisi will start February 1. Schedules for the seven new routes have yet to be released.
Perth becomes the airline's second Australian route after Melbourne, while Helsinki complements Scandinavian services to Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm (Business Traveller first reported on the Helsinki story in October, click here).
The trio of African routes marks the next stage in its African expansion, and follows recently launched services to Entebbe, while Gassim will be the carrier's fifth destination in Saudi Arabia.
The airline has launched 14 routes this year and the 15th, Chongqing, takes off on November 28.
Yesterday, it placed a firm order for 50 A320neos and five A380s at the Dubai Airshow (click here).
