The JW Marriott Hotel Ankara, the brand's first entry into Turkey, has opened its doors.

The 413-room hotel, located in the heart of the political and business centre of the capital city, offers easy access from Ankara Esenboga Airport, as well as convention and conference venues.

Amy McPherson, president and managing director for Marriott International in Europe, said: "As we continue to grow our portfolio throughout Europe, we are eager to add more JW Marriott Hotels in premier destinations and gateway cities such as Ankara."

The hotel contains 75 executive rooms and 25 executive suites - in-room features include marble baths, separate showers and 40-inch Philips LED TVs - and the 439sqm Royal Griffin Suite contains a super king size bed, private fitness room, library, Jacuzzi, and private dining room with optional butler service.

Executive level guests have access to a 22nd floor lounge offering complimentary breakfast, all day snacks and beverage service, afternoon tea, evening hors d’ oeuvres and dessert, a business centre and boardroom. For unwinding, the floor also contains the Sky Vue Lounge and Terrace.

More than 4,550sqm of flexible meeting space is available, much of which shows natural light, and the 1,278sqm grand ballroom has striking Czech crystal chandeliers.

The 3,430sqm Karma Spa has indoor and outdoor pools, and its focal point is an authentic Turkish Hammam.

Dining options include the JW Steakhouse and Fires & Flavours, serving traditional Turkish and International cuisine, while the hotel’s Lobby Lounge will offer traditional afternoon tea as well as casual snacks, sandwiches and drinks round the clock.

Introductory rates for a deluxe room, including breakfast for two and internet access, cost from TRY329($200) per night from August 1-September 10.
