The Jumeirah Bilgah Hotel Baku is set to open in winter 2011.
The property will contain 176 sea-facing guestrooms and suites, several restaurants and bars, a 300sqm spa with traditional Turkish and Finnish bath areas, indoor and outdoor pools and a 1500sqm conference centre, as well as 14 villas and a waterpark.
Mete Atakuman, who has over 18 years' hospitality experience working across a number of hotel chains, has been appointed General Manager.
It marks Jumeirah's first property in the CIS region and evidence of its growing international portfolio following the opening of Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai (click here).
The Dubai-based group lists Spain, British West Indies, US Virgin Islands, China and Thailand as markets for future development, alongside countries across the Middle East.
