A new Park Hyatt Riyadh and two new propertes in Jeddah - a Grand and a Regency - were announced by Hyatt Hotels Corporation today.

Park Hyatt Riyadh, slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2015, will be a stand-alone building located on King Fahd Road in the Olaya District, situated near the Kingdom Center and Al Faisaliya Tower.

The 275-room hotel, designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, will have 50 suites, as well as three restaurants, a lounge, and 1,450sqm of meeting and event space, including a 1,000sqm ballroom.

Grand Hyatt Jeddah, also to be designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, will feature 400 rooms including 48 suites. It will be located in the city centre on the corner of Corniche Road and Al Amir Naif Street with views of the Red Sea.

Expected to open in early 2016, it will feature three restaurants, a lobby lounge, and a Grand Club Lounge. In addition, the hotel will have 5,700sqm of meeting and event space, including grand and junior ballrooms.

The 240-room Hyatt Regency Jeddah, which will contain 30 suites, will be located on Tahliyah Street in the center of Jeddah, near Tahliyah Square and close to Malek Road and North Corniche Road.

The hotel, which is expected to open in the second half of 2015, will feature three restaurants, a lobby lounge, and Regency Club lounge - and similarly target the MICE sector with 1,700sqm of meeting and event space, including a ballroom and boardroom.

All three properties will contain a spa and fitness centre.

Today's announcement marks a renewed push for Hyatt in the Kingdom, where it currently only operates one branded hotel, the Park Hyatt Jeddah Marina, Club and Spa, which opened in 2009. With the addition of the new trio however, there are six Hyatt-branded hotels under development in Saudi Arabia across five of its brands.

Peter Fulton, Managing Director for Hyatt International, South West Asia, said expanding the number of Hyatt-branded hotels in the Kingdom will be a significant step towards its goal of being "the preferred brand for global travellers".

The company has entered into the agreements with Naseel Holding Company.
