Emirates has launched daily services to Dallas.

EK221 leaves Dubai at 0245, arriving in Dallas at 0905. The return leg, EK222, departs Dallas at 1150, arriving in Dubai International Airport at 1220 the next day.

The route is served by a B777 and the flight time is 16 hours 20 minutes.

Thierry Antinori, Executive Vice President – Passenger Sales Worldwide, said the return leg will mark the first direct commercial flight to the Middle East in Dallas Fort Worth's  history.

Emirates is gearing up for operations on the other side of the US too, with daily flights to Seattle scheduled to start March 1.

Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia and Washington DC are also in the airline's sights, but no timescale has yet been given when these destinations will come on line.
