Corinthia Hotel London recently opened seven double-storey themed penthouses that combine traditional grandeur with modern amenities, and whose terraces provide striking views of central London.
General Manager Matthew Dixon said while the city's luxury sector has seen a number of top-end suites, no operator has brought so many penthouses onto the London market in one go.
"It takes luxury to the next level and provides guests with acccommodation that's safe and discreet," he said.

He maintained that the luxury sector remains "robust" - predicting that it will hit 40% occupancy of the penthouses in the first year - with strong growth from BRIC countries, particularly Brazil.
Middle East business is also becoming stronger and to that end, the Corinthia London team was in Dubai as part of a GCC tour to promote the property, which contains 294 rooms, including 36 suites. To see photos of the hotel, click here.
In terms of future development, New York, Paris and Rome are all being "actively targeted" for new hotels.
