Boeing has delivered the 7,000th 737 off its production line to Flydubai.
The airplane is Flydubai's 14th 737-800NG and 21st in its fleet, and it has 30 more on order.
The aircraft maker is speeding up deliveries of its 737s, in tandem with the global growth in low-cost travel.

The 7,000th delivery comes two years and eight months after the 6,000th - compared with a rate of four years and eight months between 4,000-5,000 and three years and two months between 5,000-6,000.
Boeing is targeting further improvements, aiming for 42 planes a month by the first half of 2014. Total orders for the plane exceed 9,300 including orders for the new 737MAX.
