Bahrain Air's fleet will soon be refitted with a new business class seat configuration and novel on-board entertainment systems for premium class passengers.
It will promote its new premium offering at the Bahrain International Air Show 2012 between January 19-21.
"Such services will be implemented to tailor to the business community's needs and naturally provided through attractive and extremely competitive fares," said Marketing Manager Naeem Mahamoor. "We are also revisiting our menu on the different sectors to provide the best localised culinary options."
The carrier plans to fly to six more destinations this year, which it will announce once it has received the required government approvals, on top of the 18 already in service. Routes are served by a mix of A319s and A320s.
Richard Nuttall, appointed CEO on December 1, said 2011 was a "difficult year" but it is expecting traffic to improve in 2012.
The airline has migrated to a new flight booking reservations system, whereby passengers can chose from different fares depending on price, flexible travel dates or class of service.
Its website is available in English and Arabic with future regional customistion in the pipeline.
"We are also gradually introducing services such as the ability to select seats, blankets, insurance or even a celebratory cake," he said.
"We encourage our customers to book early to avail the early bird incentive, where a portion of our tickets are sold at up to 35% less than usual market rates."
