BA Reward flights

Award availabitly is next to non-existent - Gold EC for 15 years and never any Club availabilty in less than 6-8 months and even Fist very limited 4-5 months out now. This is for PHL-LHR where very often only 3-4 First seats taken ( and most of...

BA Executive Club

Anytime lounge access was pretty much the only Gold benefit I ever used - about 4 times per year , so not likely to bankrupt BA. Other than that the award availabitly is next to non-existent - Gold EC for 15 years and never any Club availabilty...

Priority Baggage on BA?
13/06/11 | Forum post in reply to Brusselsregular
In my experience there is no Priority Baggage on BA. Whatever haul I fly it is totally at the whim of the handlers when my bag comes out, regardless of country of arrival. CX and JAL are superb - always one of the very first on the carousel. It...

I cannot honestly say I have ever noticed any difference in the way food orders were taken for upgraded passengers in First - but perhaps I have been preoccupied with my pre-takeoff V and T which I am not supposed to have because duty was not...

China Southern, many moons ago HKG to Shantou the snack was a bag of little gummy balls proudly declared as made from donkey hide - I think I have the correct quadruped. BA scrambled egg must come close second.

Car hire scams

Be careful with Hertz in Manchester. On my last 3 rentals, they processed the paperwork long after the return and charged an extra day - one time even for the sake of 5 minutes. No problem to get a refund, but one wonders if it is a policy to try it.

BA Reward flights

I do think that AA having access to awards is having an effect - since that change, I am finding it much harder to get premium class awards on my regular route PHL-LHR. Another good reason to look elsewhere
to place some business. US has a...

Where do you think BA SHOULD start flying to?
30/05/11 | Forum post in reply to sparkyflyer
If BA has all these competent high level personnages evaluating the money-making possibilities of new routes, how is it that they are so dismally unprofitable compared with so many other airlines, who, for example, serve the 'regions' . After...

LHR - HKG - I will never fly BA again
03/04/11 | Forum post in reply to bizleader
Some interesting observations in this thread, which made me think about my own praise and complaints. Most of those of us who post regularly are the fortunate few who travel in premium cabins and have in many cases done this for more years than...
