Until the late 80ies, on a 20 min flight FRA-NUE or FRA-DUS you got a hot meal and coffee with digestif afterwards served by LH in First Class.
Between GVA and CDG Swissair served a hot 3 course meal.

Looks like a hardwood board, similar to the new LH seat in Europe flights. To say that this kind of seat offers more comfort is a dirty joke. The only thing it offers is a better cost position for the operating airline, since they fit more seats...
