Cathay First Class from Hong Kong. Slightly late in boarding but excellent information in the lounge.
On board comfort exemplary. Lovely variety of food which was tasty, well cooked and beautifully presented.

EL AL .. Business vs First

I've no experience of El Al First. I would think a 747 cabin of 12 seats with 1m flat beds provides a better experience than a cramped BA CW cabin.
All flights have a potential for delay, so a non stop from TLV to JFK with El Al must be less...

It is all well & good BA giving out the bonus miles. Since the merger with IB and the link up with AA it is harder to redeem First & Club seats.
As Bullfrog points out ... 'it's all marketing'.
