Suggestion re sharing itineraries: I use a website called tripit.com, perhaps others here use it? It organises itineraries based on forwarded emails, and I find it very convenient to use it to self-organise and print a copy before departure....

This seems a strange topic - there are a lot of 30 minute routes out there everywhere, aren't there? Vancouver - Seattle or Vancouver - Victoria come to mind, as do Ottawa - Montreal or Montreal- Quebec City, etc.
