Unauthorised Seat Changes...Is it widespread?

On numerous occasions with British Airways my pre-assigned seats have been changed without any warning or follow up notification. These changes could not have been made by other travellers on the same booking because they do not use computers....

"There will be a “significant price reduction” on the purchase price if the loss-making Bmibaby is not sold." That reads to me: If Bmibaby is not sold to BA then it will cost less for BA to buy bmi mainline. Is that really right?
