RichHI1 - Fortunately for me, there are viable and comfortable alternatives from my local airports: Newcastle and Edinburgh. I wish more of our locals - Mackems, Geordies and Reivers - knew of them too.

They would do better to move to serving European countries not in the EU, and thus not covered by the scheme, such as Russia, Turkey, as well as non-European countries with good connections to Europe, such as Egypt.
