UK immigration Chaos and Queues?

All passengers are scanned at the UK border. Some EU countries have ID cards which cannot be scanned and the details are input manually. Also, UKBA no longer look after the border - it is the Border Force.

As a gold card holder you are entiltled to two checked bags on domestic flights. I have just checked mu upcoming flight from LGW-MAN on a £35 ticket and I have an allowance of two bags.

BA Reservation Assurance

It happened to me before and the reason given was that there was already too many reservation assurances on the flight and the flight was too oversold.

How long for a BA Refund ?

It took about a month for the refund on my credit card on a normal redemption booking cancellation in May (although the points were recredited immediately).

We downgraded from Centurian as the £1,800 cost did not give any benefits. With the Platinum card you get travel insurance included. They have recently paid out full on a delayed luggage claim.

Couldn't BA take on Agency admin staff with the criteria that they are trained cabin crew? Surely then they wouldn't be breaking union law as the staff will be working for them.

If you don't have status with bmi ask them to match your BAEC Gold status - they should give you BMI Gold which will give you fast track at T1 and lounge access to the Star Alliance or bmi No 1 lounge.
